Yeah, it's what happens when you're sitting at an airport terminal and your connecting flight is an hour and a half late. You have very little cash, so you don't want to buy something to eat, and the people sitting around you are idiots. Your book, computer, and CD player/iPod are all stowed in your checked luggage, so you have nothing to do, and you've read the same funnies page in the newspaper thirty times and can accurately quote all the comics.
That, my friend, is terminal boredom.

Sure is.
When I was in Viet Nam (aka Vietnam) there was this fellow who kept trying to sneak up on the claymores we had on the perimeter and turn them around the wrong way.
He'd sneak up, then loose his nerve and hide, then try again.
I got bored watching him, so I put a round through his head.
He died of terminal boredom.
Be thankful you have such a meaningless thing to complain about.

Yes, it occurs naturally in Airports, and Train, and Bus Stations CONSTANTLY. It HAS been known to spread to other innocuous places such as living rooms, lonely bedrooms and offices. It CAN be fatal when experienced by drivers on long trips, while driving.
