Being in Big 12 country I have to nominate Kansas`s Mark Mangino. I would have given the Kansas basketball team a better chance of going undeafeted.

Mark Mangino! 6-0 first time for Kansas University since 1995! Not to mention he can eat a whole bucket of KFC like nobodys business. If you've never seen his picture or know who he is, google a pic. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

Some would say Les Miles (but c'mon how can you lose with that talent?)

I think it's Ron Zook. Look at how the Illini basically came out of nowhere to surprise everyone in the Big 10. Either Zook or Steve Spurrier should win (in my book) because I think what Spurrier did with the Gamecocks has been a phenomenal turnaround in one of the most (if not the most) competitive conferences, both for recruiting and for wins.

I'd have to go with South Florida's Jim Leavitt. With the upsets of LSU and Cal today, USF is more than poised to be the new number 1 ranked team going into the next week. They've definitely earned it considering the wins the brought in over ranked teams like West Virginia and Auburn.

Being a Kentucky guy, I have to say Rich Brooks. Look what this guy has done to a very dismal Kentucky squad. They went from 2-9, 3-8 seasons to 6-1 and knocking off #1 LSU. This man is a miracle worker. Hell, when he got to UK the team only had one guy who could run under a 4.5 in the fourty. Now they have 17. At the very least, he doesn't have to worry about losing his job anymore.

What about Rich Brooks of Kentucky? I guess you would have to look at what he started with and where he has brought that Kentucky team. They had a legit win against LSU and I think it is possible for them to finish the season with just the one loss. Just watch them and see.
