Use your common sense, did you took part in some lottery contest? If no then its surely a scam. I once registered for it and I end up getting many Spam mails in my in box, so I changed my email address after that. Well of course the website looks legal and genuine, but these spammers would do anything to trick people to fall into their trap. Never trust stuff like these.

It's a scam. Organizations that give out prizes NEVER ask for a contribution before giving you your prize. You also never win anything without signing up for a contest. Sometimes you will sign up for something and not realize your are entering a contest, so make sure it is from an organization that you recognize.

I read yesterday that legitimate companies DO NOT ask for personal information through email. I think this is the rule, not the exception. I was glad to find this article. In the article it told of phoney sites that look exactly like the real site(s). They said DELETE this email & NEVER click the link(s) in the email..

Hi there
By opening E Mails from unknown sources you are leaving your self open to virus's.
DONT open any e mails you don't know there origin.And yes it is a SCAM.

Total SCAM!! Do not send them any information or they will rob you blind!!! Mark the email as SPAM and delete it. Do Not Respond to it at all!~
