Well, I can't afford ANY Mercedes just now, but I did play my lotery numbers - so that may change within a few days ;)
My fave:

As many others I can't afford a brand new Mercedes, but if I could I would go for the brilliant new C63 AMG (I think that it is actually better than the new M3 - 457bhp, 0-60mph in about 4.5sec. and it drives properly) or the beautiful CLS63 AMG (fantastic noise, too).

My 300CE 2-door Coupe which I bought for $8500 2 years ago has been everything I imagined, and a whole lot more.
The 300SLR(1955) might have to wait a few more years...

none of the mercedes im a big fan of are even close to my price range.
My favs are: CLK-GTR, 300SL, and the 190 Evo

a 1979 300D [123] that i have kept serviced for more than 20 years. if if ever comes up for sale i will purchase it [yes it is that nice] and at only 130k on the clock has another 28 yrs life left easy.

i think mercedes cars are top notch but AMG cars are just astonishing. any of the 6.2 litre V8 AMG car are just unbeatible

my favorite is probably the clk 63 amg black edition. i also love the brabus slr. my favorite suv of theres is the ml 63 amg

I must say I am a sucker for the CL class. Couldn't justify 80k for it, although there are a few people in my neighborhood that did. Personally I am a BMW guy.
