I recommend Webster.com
Dictionary.com is free because the dictionary they use is about 100 years old, so a lot of the meanings that they have recorded are out of date. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary is updated regularly and has a thesaurus (synonyms and antonyms). It also has a Spanish/English dictionary.
You could also use OED.com, it's the most comprehensive on-line dictionary, but you have to pay for it. Your school library probably subscribes.
