Both teams are 5-0

Dallas will be something of a betting enigma this weekend, a 5-0 team laying more than a field goal at home. But that's what happens when the Patriots come to town. After opening as five-point home underdogs, many are looking at the 'Boys as a tasty bet, especially since they've outscored opponents 80-42 in Dallas this year.

Impressive numbers to be sure. Tantalizing, even. But don't let 'em fool you into thinking Dallas is a good wager.

Why? Well, if you live by the Romo, you die by him too. While he's been lauded for his gunslinging ways, Romo is still rather careless with the football and his decision making leaves a lot to be desired. He's turned the ball over in all but one of Dallas' games this year and is tied for the second-most interceptions in the league with eight.

That's risky business against a Pats team that thrives on takeaways. In its 34-17 closer-than-it-looks victory over Cleveland, New England's defense had three interceptions and a fumble recovery - those takeaways created 21 points. The Pats are tied with Indianapolis for the league lead in turnover differential at plus-seven. The Patriots' defense has forced 11 turnovers (eight interceptions and three fumbles), and the offense has turned it over only four times (two interceptions, two fumbles).

Romo can ill afford to turn the ball over against New England, but his style leads me to believe he won't be able to avoid it. The Pats win games because they win the turnover battles, and this week should be no different.

This will be the first time that Romo meets a Belichick defense.
Some notable QBs that Belichick has thrashed the first time he met them are... Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Carson Palmer...

He has a knack for confusing quarterbacks with his D because he sets up to look like a blitz, but then drops the safetys back into coverage when the play starts, so Romo will be utterly boggled about what's going on out there. Belichick does all kinds of stuff like that on D. Romo was admittedly confused by some of the Bills' exotic maneuvers on Monday, and they're ranked 31st on D (or they were last week), and the Pats are ranked 2nd.

In my opinion, Romo will be lucky if this game is even close because he's going to get picked like a cherry tree. He's too young. He hasn't even started for a full season in the NFL yet.

Plus, the Pats offense is just incredible. Brady had almost no one to throw to last season... now he has nothing but playmakers out there. Dallas can't cover Randy Moss... its going to be a blow out. It won't even be a good game, I think.

its going to be a terrific game!!! It will depend on Romo he gives up urnovers like he did against Buffalo and Well it wil be over before the Half! However he stays calm and makes good decisions should be an exciting game!! I still think the Pats come out on top but the score will depend on Romos decision making!!

GO PATS!!!!

new england all they way. the weapons are in check. the running back is banged up though. it'll be an air game for the dallas d with some running, but not much. the pats d watch out for marion III and julius as long with t.o. and that one tight end. this will be an entertaining game.
