fastest is NOT the least moves.
If you are concerted about least moves use the Petrus method but even that may not get under 30.
If you just want physical time, the Friedrich method is the way to go. All of the fastest speed cubers use a personalized variation of it. Using the entire method (circa 90 algorithms) constant below 20 seconds is not unreasonable. Using only the F2L of Friedrich and some looking ahead combined with practice I have achieved 32.69 seconds after 3 months.
However don't start with Friedrich, start with a layer by layer method and try to get as close to 1 minute as possible with that then learn the F2L of Friedrich pretty well before you move on to the OLL and PLL.
Here is a good layer by layer powerpoint that I made myself.

I solved the rubiks cube a couple of times and I got better and better at it. What you should do is go to www.youtube.com and watch How to solve a rubiks cube. Then they should give you a whole bunch of codes and you should write them down on a peice of paper. Then take it slow and solve the rubiks cube with all the instructions on the paper. After doing that a couple of times, try to remember all the moves and instructions. After you do that keep on practicing with that and then you should be better and better and faster and faster.

solvuing a rubik's cube fast isnt about the numbers of moves you do. By the way the world's best speedcubers do around 40 moves. Just practice finger tricks and stuff. Go to speedcubing websites for more advice. DONT WATCH THOSE YOUTUBE VIDEOS. that guy has no idea what he is talking about. His solution is horrible, and his advice on how to be faster is wrong. consult a real speedcuber

Once you know the basics of beating the cube and knowing how to solve everything and get what square you want where its a piece of cake. But You need the basis understanding in your head.
