There are so many to pick from!
Actors I think are particularly unattractive are:
Mark and Donnie Wahlberg
Steve Buscemi~He's undeniably talented, but he can be a strain on the eyes. Actually, he didn't look too bad when he was younger.
Matt Damon
Will Smith
David Caruso
Joaquin Phoenix
Andy Dick
DJ Qualls~He has a good role in "The Core", but I haven't been able to watch his comedies.
Tobey Maguire~However, I do like "Spider-Man 2", so it must be a really good movie!
George Arliss~He was a dreadfully homely man but an absolute genius at acting!
Don Knotts~He made his homeliness work for him, didn't he? He turned what some would consider a weakness to his advantage.
Tom Hanks~He was sort of OK when he was younger, but age and his ego have ruined him for me.
Charles Laughton~But, he was a brilliant actor and a genius director, even if judging by only one movie.
Maybe it's their attitude that makes some of them seem especially *blech* to me. Someone marginally attractive can be handsome/beautiful of that certain glow is there. Some attractive ones can seem unappealing due to ego or attitude.
Actresses that I simply don't understand being called attractive include:
Jorja Fox~Grissom and Sara? They must be wacko!
Julia Roberts
Reese Witherspoon
Hillary Swank
Celine Dion (even if she's not an actress)
Even when they wear a ton of makeup... Nope. Not even then would I call them beautiful~passable maybe.
Edna Mae Oliver~She was a very homely woman but a remarkable actress, adept at comedy and drama.
Margaret Rutherford~She looked like a jowly bulldog but simply grabbed your heart in her comedic roles. I imagine that she was a good dramatic actress, but she was so skilled at being funny!
Margaret Hamilton~The lady was homely, but we dearly loved her for being the Wicked Witch of the West. Isn't that strange? She said little children never hesitated to approach her, as if they knew she wasn't the mean green witch.
In closing, some went on the list because I can't stand looking at them for ego or other reason. Some are unattractive, but I watch them anyway! Human nature is really weird, isn't it?
