J,T. Snow, then the 1st baseman of the San Francisco Giants. It happened in game 5 of the 2002 World Series against the LA Angels. He picked up manager Dusty Baker's son, as there was about to be a play at the plate, as Dave Bell slid in trying to score.

I knew who it was instantly after reading the title, it's one of my favorite moments in baseball. The Giants' manager Dusty Baker's son (I believe his name was Darren, Darin, something like that) was the batboy for the team. In the 2002 playoffs, I believe the NLCS, maybe the division series, he went to gather the bats not knowing there was a play still going on. JT Snow has just scored and after seeing the kid run towards home plater and seeing a runner dashing towards home. The runner I think was David Bell who was also playing for the Giants. Afterwords the MLB passed a rule stating that batboys and girls must be a certain age (I think 10)

Runner JT Snow, having just scored, quickly scooped up 3-year-old batboy Darren Baker in Game 5 of the 2002 World Series. Manager Dusty Baker's son had scrambled out to pick up Lofton's bat while no one was watching him (they were, understandably, watching the play -- Lofton tripled). Li'l Baker wasn't in real danger -- yet -- but seeing it, with full-sized men moving at full speed, he looked delicately small. Snow grabbed him on the run and took him back to the dugout.

Batboy rules were clarified afterwards, that only children of a certain age could serve.

And it was NOT one of Bonds' kids. I realize the haters have to lob every possible crap grenade they can upon his back, because that's what they do, but on this one they are completely wrong and you can tell them so to their faces (not that it will make any difference, but it is worthwhile to destroy their already-shaky credibility with others).

It was one of Barry Bonds kids, don't know who the player was that stopped him getting flattened.
