It's more fun breeding them down to size. If they can come up with miniture dogs and miniture horses, why not? As for engineering, I don't believe that you actually engineer size, you engineer traits by introducing a non-elephant DNA part. We don't know enough about elephant DNA to do this at present, and I don't think there is much of a market for this unless you are filthy rich and can afford your own scientists. LOL.
