When I am stressed I like to put my head phones on and turn up my Ipod so loud I can't think about anything else but the music that is blaring.
Not good for the ears but if takes your mind off of your troubles for a little bit.

Read my Bible...
Go to the used bookstore and browse and maybe buy 2 or 3 books and/or CD's.
Sleep
Buy some aromatic body gel and take a nice long, hot shower.
Think about all that is "right" with life (as opposed to mulling all that is wrong with life)... people I love, children in my life, baby kittens, clouds at sunset or sunrise... places I've been, adventures I've had..
writing about the stressor in my journal
Eating ice cream

realize that your not in control, like everyone else in this world, and that it's ok to take a step back and admit that occassionally, and focus on the big picture. That you or I are not the center of the universe and that there are millions of kids everyday dying of starvation, etc. That will dwarf your problems and take away some of your stress.

I like to drive around, take a walk, or talk to a friend about my problem. If all else fails I just walk outside and scream! But we live in the country so it doesn't bother anyone.

I usually play with my dog. I find that watching fish swim is, strangely, relaxing. Also, after getting some sleep, some of the things that were bothering me earlier just sorta disappear from my mind.

I eat a lot of chocolate and bananas! And also listen to music...better if it will be classical music! And sometimes you can take a pillow and punch it several times! It really helps ;)

recently I have been walking around by myself to relieve stress, I think it works well.
You do get to thinking about the stresses in your life, but by the end of the walk, you've gotten them all off your chest, so i think it works. plus, it's healthy.
