Im considering franchising a McDonalds and have started talks but I have a question where would I get the Mcdonald branded condiments and wrap such as ketchup, cups, wrappers etc etc. Is there a certain wholesaler who offers these items. I would ask the corporation but I dont want to seem completely dumbfounded so answers are appreciated.

It sounds like you just received a prospectus and have not spoken to anyone. McD is very selective on who they invite to become a franchisee

Basically, by you asking this type of question, you have not read there prospectus and do not have the aptitude to be an owner of a company. Basically, if you are willing to invest hundreds of hour and plenty of money, you should never be afraid of anything, including simple questions as yours

Prepare yourself mentally and physically to take on any business. Never be afraid to ask any type of questions.

In the meantime, you should consider working in a McD franchise to understand the details. The experience will help you decide if it's really for you.

Good Luck!

Chain restaurants most often get their supplies from a distributor in the area that has contracted to supply that particular chain. Sometimes a chain of restaurants is so big that they have their own warehouse and handle their own distribution on their own trucks. This is particularly true in an urban area with a high number of that chain's restaurants.

McDonalds is a system, once you become a licensee you become part of this system. You have little choice when it comes to your distributer, your vendors, etc... You can't just go to the market and buy cheap tomatoes, you have to order them through a distributer like Martin-Brower.

In the franchise package, all the requirements of the franchise are listed. One will show you their Regional Distribution requirements.
