elders opinions!!!
they ask "whats wrong?
and give their views
drugs and sex
so whats is new?
they're planned their lives
and done whats right
the youth today
an ugly sight
they've made their money
built their homes
a car in the garage
two telephones
we cant hold jobs
lives incomplete
our sense of values
obsolete
always bored
and feeling bad
dole queues long
its all so sad
but folks give a thought
to how we feel
the lives we lead
are for real
there r no jobs
like u could get
we struggle on
and do our best
the drugs we take
are the same
as the piss you drink
we're not insane
nor did u face
the nuclear fears
our end of life
seems very near
we cope the pressure
we rage and live
and take as much
as you can give
we'll keep on bonging'
keep our smiles
one day our lives
might be worthwhile

The poem I like most is Edmund Spencer -Sonnet LXVII
I had a hard time getting to know about poetry. After many readings of poems this is where I started to fall in love with poetry. This is where I felt something that I cannot explain. I called it blissfulness. It is still in my body. This is where I understood the magic in poetry.

it's not the greatest poem, but i've always enjoyed "My Madonna" by Robert Service. :)
