I'm related to Tom Wopat... And my friend from grade school is Tom Welling's sister... And am good friends with Vaughn Johnson who was part of the dome patrol for the New Orleans Saints back in the early 90's... And I know Lorenzo Neal who plays for the San Diego Chargers cause I met him back when he was starting out as a rookie for the Saints in the early 90's when I was in college in LaCrosse, WI where they had their training camp.

Cal Ripken Jr. (the former Oriole's player) is my 4th or 5th cousin. I got made fun of in school for admitting that because nobody believed me. I think if I were gonna make up a celeb relation, I'd pick someone I actually thought was cool, lol!
What sucks about this kind of thing is it's near impossible to contact them and say "Hey, we're related!" because they usually don't have time for you or think you're just a crazy fan trying to make a contact.

I'm related to one of Al Green's sons...does that count? I'm also related to Bruce Golding even though he's not a celebrity. He's the new Prime Minister of Jamaica.

I heard that I was a distant relative of Ed Asner, on my father's side.
I don't know how true that is, though, as my Dad's dad immigrated to the U.S. from Lithuania and My dad's maternal grandmother immigrated to the U.S. from Poland... maybe if Mr. Asner has a similar history... otherwise, I dunno.
