Hello I am in need of a boy name that goes with Luke. I like unusual names (but not that unusual). Like names you dont hear everyday! Im kind of leaning toward DeMarcus or Dae'Shaun, But still wanting to know more!

I think that the name DeMarcus Luke sounds great! I also think Dae'Shaun Luke sounds good excpet I like DeMarcus more.

I like Marcus or Shaun/Shawn on their own. Also I read in the paper a few months ago that children with African-American (Not African. There's a big difference between African and African-American names.) are expected to do poorly in school by their teachers.

Names that being with De or Dae are not African names and they carry a horrible stigma with them that taints every child with that name. Give your child a strong African name that will carry him further in life, not carry the stigma of ghetto drama, drugs, poverty and ignorance. I realize it doesn't have african descent, but in my opinion it sounds like it could be, and I think of Omarion (the singer) when I hear it:
Orion Luke - or you could spell it differently...
Like the constellation, Orion.
