All you need is to find out the molecular weight of MgCl2.
1) 9.52/mol wt x 4 = xxx moles/liter (Molar)

2) To prepare 1 M solution, dissolve the gm mol weight of MgCl2 in liter of water. For 500 ml, you need only half that amount.
