How do you normally respond when someone pays you a compliment?

It makes me feel very warm and happy when someone pays me a compliment, although sometimes it's hard for me to believe it. If it comes from people I know, then it makes me feel appreciated and I feel happy for the rest of the day. If it comes from someone I don't know, then I sometimes get a little embarrassed. I really think that everyone should make a point of paying at least one person every day a compliment because it does wonders for your self esteem!!

"Thank You". I've actually just started making myself say it, so that I would accept and believe the compliment. It's helping me feel better about myself, cause I'm my own worst enemy.

I get complimented the most on my looks, or an idea I've come up with, or guys will compliment me on something tom-boyish, like talking about cars or action flicks - I love them both!

I always say thank you. And they usually compliment my blue eyes.

if it's a guy complementing me i say:

"aww thanks, that's really sweet of you"

if it's a girl i say:

"thanks ! i got it at ______"


i usually get complimented on my looks or my clothes...or my grades.....not all the time tho

I just kinda shrug it off, no matter who gives it..I feel that I don't deserve them. I accept them but I don't really believe them.
