PC2-5300 is the correct term for DDR2-667mhz. PC-5300 is an incorrect term or typo error.
Here are the correct terminologies:
PC-xxxx for DDR, e.g. PC-3200 for DDR-400
PC2-xxxx for DDR2, e.g. PC2-5300 for DDR2-667
PC3-xxxx for DDR3, e.g. PC3-8500 for DDR3-1066

PC5300 RAM is 667MHZ ram (speed of the ram chip)

PC2-5300 is the same as PC-5300 both run at 667MHZ.

Make sure your mother board suppots that speed.

Use a System Information tool such as AIDA-32 for a Complete run down of your computer.

Try and get the same kind you alread have.

Be sure to check with the supplier of your PC or check it manually using your manuals before purchasing RAM... I think both PC2 and PC are the same... But ensure that you use the existing type on your system.

Use the same ram manufacturer model your using now just upgrade to a greater size in mega bytes. Mother boards can be very picky about the ram they will let work.
