When finding audition music, most of what I find in sheet music is either the vocal selections or piano selections. I was just wondering which is the better choice for an audition, as noone I know can tell me that answer. Thanks!

They're the same thing. Vocal selections only means that the entire score is not included, only the songs with lyrics. All shows have a score. If you had the entire score you'd have a lot of music with no lyrics like the overture, scene changes, music cues, etc. Also, all the music in the books you're talking about is meant to be played on the piano so anything you choose will be fine for auditions. Just make sure you make copies so that you can mark them properly for the audition accompanist and keep your original music nice and clean.

good luck!

Most commercially available sheet music is labelled either Piano/Vocal/Guitar (PVG), Piano Solo or Easy Piano. It is the Piano/Vocal/Guitar you need for auditions because it is the one that features an accompanist part plus the vocal part most often in the original key it was written in. Most PVG albums of a show contain the most popular songs from that show. If you want to be more authentic you can use what is known as a full vocal score, or sometimes a piano/conductor's score which is the actual score used in the show, complete with scene change music, underscoring, etc. However, these are much more expensive and usually more difficult for an accompanist to play. Hope this helps and good luck!
