Companies that sell hundreds of t-shirts to people that say "American Eagle", "Old Navy", or "Abercrombie & Fitch" (etc.) really bother me. Does this bother you? I can understand wanting to wear the style of clothes or that particular brand but why buy a t-shirt that's main purpose is for advertisement? Are teens being brainwashed? I'm 13.

P.S. please disregard the name brands and companies mentioned in this question.

Hey, wait until you win a Yahoo! Answers tote bag. It's like carrying a walking, talking "humiliate ME" logo.

They ARE walking advertisements, that is the entire point of the shirt. The more people that wear a shirt with Abercrombie's name on it, the more people that want that shirt, and the more Abercrombie can charge for the shirt. That's from the company's view. For the person wearing it, let's say it was some expensive store, that person is sending a message to everybody else that they have enough money to wear that brand. So no, it doesn't really bother me.

You can also buy cases of Abercrombie (or similar shirts) at surplus prices (from last year's styles) and ship them to refugees in your favorite distaster-stricken country, where they trade for a week's worth of food and water.

I dont mind the clothing brand name being on a item of clothing, because its just expressing your style, what really annoys me is companies like Pet Food companies that put their names on t-shirts and give them away to employees to wear casually ie not at work, thats just seems tacky to me

Slow down Michelle C. The brands I don't like I do not wear!!! IF IT SAYS WRANGLER I will wear it to church if I went to church. Relax don't worry yourself about what other people wear. I use to bother me when boys walked down the street with there pants almost falling off. But I don't care anymore because that is them and this is me.

Yes. I hate when people do that. I don't like name-brand clothes. You can get the same shirt somewhere else cheaper, and without the logo

Yes, I agree with you. I wear Hollister and Aeropastle shirts all the time, just because they're cute. It does bug me about the advertising thing though. My dad says that all the time (he wears plain shirts haha).

lol, well i think its mostly cuz ppl think its cool to wear a good brand name. i wouldn't walk around with a gap label on my shirt, but i wear a shirt that says DC, lol i usually just buy the shirt cuz it looks cool, i don't care if its an advertisement

Aw. But nothing says, "I am lower to middle middle class like you, please don't treat me like I treat poor people who have to buy clothes like mine from Goodwill" quite as well as a sweatshirt with Ralph Lauren plastered across it!
