a rotating platform is to be used to test aircraft equipment under acceleration of 6g. If the acceleration is 50 cm from the axis, What angular speed is needed?

Given that centripetal acceleration a=6g
I terms of angular velocity w
a=w^2 R where R=0.5m

so
w=sqrt (a/R)

w= sqrt(6g/R)
w=sqrt(6 x 9.81/ .5)
w=10.8 rad/sec
