For the Northern Hemisphere, the cold conditions should actually start on 23rd September itself when the sun crosses the Equator towards its apparent journey towards Tropic of Capricon. But there is always a time lag between the position of the sun and the actual weather we experience and this varies between 20 to 40 days depending of the local factors which influence the weather of a particular place.

Well, I live in CA so it starts getting cold in the Fall so that is Sept., Oct., Nov. and even colder for Winter Dec., Jan. Feb.

I live in Minnesota, and it's already like 40 degrees outside.

Usually it gets cold around late September, early October.
