I got the impression the 12 tribes are not separate tribes as such, but different times/era's of the same tribe. Obviously factions form and splinter off on their own, the main body staying in the tradition and the faction evolving into the new era. But its all basically the same tribe. Practicing Shaman... quantum physics rocks.
