Sometimes they won't move for ten minutes at a time. Should i be worried? They still have a good appetite. Everything else seems normal.

Of course not! Most of the time they are like that. They are resting. They don't really sleep and because they have no eyelids, they can't "sleep". They rest. As long as they are not belly side up in the tank and not moving, it is natural!

May this is something to worry about, and maybe not. Since they still have good appetites, that's encouraging. One of the most common problems with goldfish is the amount of waste they produce which leads to ammonia poisoning. One of the symptoms is lethargy, but they also tend to lose their appetites when this happens.

I'd think a more likely cause if you've had your fish for a while is that the current from your filter may be too strong for them. The shape of their bodies and double tails doesn't give them a great ability to swim against a strong current. Try adjusting the flow from the filter down a little (most have a knob at the top of the intake tube or the entire tube turns to the side to allow you to do this) and see if they start becoming more active.

If your fish are relatively new (bought within the last few days) they may still be adjusting to the new environment.

If one goldfish rest at the bottom, that maybe ok, but if all three goldfish did that, then there is something not right. Get your water tested. Take a sample to your local pet store and ask them to do a PH water test. If you have 100% new water in your tank, then the PH level is alkline. You will need to drop the PH level with PH down. First and most important, add 1/4 tank of reverse osmosis water to your tank. This softens the water and makes PH buffering easily. Tap water is hard and it will stress the fish and can kill it. Pet stores use reverse osmosis filters to make RO water, but you can get RO water from your local water supply store. Also, its safe to drink RO water for those who don't know.

A lot of times goldfish will rest at the bottom of the tank if the water is too warm. It's cooler at the bottom, and that's where they tend to stay since they are cold water fish. Do you have a heater, or is the tank near a window where it gets heat from sunlight?

I would be worried only if they go belly-up on the bottom. Otherwise, they are probably just laying in a bottom currrent breathing and conserving energy. Once, while scuba diving at night in the Caribbean, I observed large fish doing this. I later learned that those fish were actually sleeping.

maybe theyre sleeping, but when my fantails see me, they get excited and move. if they see you and continue to lie still, i would worry a bit. check your water to make sure it's okay, just in case.
