:) Lol, well if you called me ma'am I wouldn't be offended.
I've been called that during the course of my current age, which is 22. I haven't felt offended or insulted anyone for calling me that. However, I did feel really self-conscious about my appearance because of my viewpoint on the meaning and application of the term "ma'am." I see the term as a sign of respect for women with more years of life experience/ wisdom in years (old women). Yeah, so when I'm called that my unexpressed thoughts are "Gosh, do I really look that old?"

It is just good manners and polite to say yes ma'am or no ma'am. I say it to women older and younger than I am, if They earn my respect. I also say yes or no sir to men I respect.

No I wouldn't be... I'm 26 and I refer to everyone as sir and ma'am....even kids sometimes. People need to learn how to calm down. At least you didn't call her a b***h!!!!
