Chocolate cysts are cysts that are filled with blood and when they burst and the blood comes out it's brown which then looks like chocolate. These kind of cysts can be common with endometriosis which is a condition where tissue grows inside the pelvic cavity and reacts to the hormones of the menstrual cycle. What makes it different from a normal menstrual period is that instead of going out of the body like the lining normally does each month this tissue stays inside the body and grows. When it grows it causes inflammation, scarring and also pain.

Excess bleeding means that someone is bleeding a lot and it can be because of something wrong with the periods, having a problem with the medication in a birth control pill if someone is using it. Sometimes excess bleeding can indicate an infection such as in cervicitis which has to do with inflammation of the cervix. The cervix is an area that is attached to the lower part of the uterus and sticks down in to the vagina.

Sometimes the woman can feel this such as if she has to give medication vaginally such as to treat yeast infections.

Scanty bleeding is when someone has very little bleeding such as in very light periods or some other problems such as hormone imbalances.

The fallopian tubes can also get sick and have scar tissue occur there or other things blocking it which can sometimes interfere with trying to get pregnant.

Some kinds of cysts (which most are just little sacs of fluid) are normal to have such as one called a functional cyst. These can go away on their own. There are also small kinds of cysts that can occur on the ovary and these cysts will look like a string of pearls. These cysts are immature egg cells that come up at other times than when they are supposed to for prep for pregnancy or at the time of the period if there is no pregnancy. These kind of cysts are part of a hormone imbalance called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which relates to testosterone levels being too high.

The uterus itself can move positions in what is called anteverted and retroverted postions. When the doctor says a woman's uterus is anteverted it means that the uterus has tipped forward. If it's retroverted that means it's tipped backwards. Depending on degree of tilt trying to conceive should not be a problem.

The other part of our female anatomy is the external genital area that is called the vulva. This area can get sick too because of things like diseases to the skin in that area or damage to nerves which can cause a great deal of pain and discomfort.

reproductive rights? I support those fully. If you want to have a baby.. go right ahead. It's those pesky abortions, I'm not so sure about. Why are you so adamant that fetuses are alive? How can you be so certain? Pro-life does not mean anti-woman. EDIT: Earlier than that... at 5 months that baby looks like a newborn, I've seen pictures, its horrible.
