I bought some Datura pods (she said they were moonflowers, they're not, they're moon lillies) last weekend. They are still green and I'm not quite sure what to do with them. How do I store them until Spring? Can I start them early? I live in Kansas so we won't hit frost until November or so. Any help gardeners?

I'd say let them dry out until they split and open by themselves. Take the seeds out (they are actually quite like the seeds of their relative the bell pepper) and store them in a dry place until Spring.

Remember that the seeds are poisonous, so don't leave them where a pet (or child) might find and eat them!

Dry them out and put the seed in a dry air tight container, plant in the spring

Let them dry. Since they were gathered green the seeds inside may not be viable. Normally you allow any flower to dry on the plant before harvesting seeds.

good luck
