The goal is to control the economy by loosening or tightening credit. That little heralded thing that creates jobs, the great number of those jobs being held by......go ahead take a guess. Did you guess the Middle Class? If not do not pass go do not collect $200.00.

Example: The Fed raises interest rates. That means the Treasury notes are sold paying higher interest. That means money is pulled from the stock market if the Fed is paying more than might be made on Wall St.. When they lower rates the reverse tends to happen. That is a very very very simplistic version of a complex system of the "dance" between the Fed and Wall St. Where is your 401K invested????? He who learns earns, he who complains about "the rich" never becomes a member of the club.

Government does what it wants to do, when it wants to do it, and how it wants to do it... If you do not think it is the right way, then make a change. Take some initiative and find out exactly what they are doing for you

Nothing . . . it's not their job. They regulate inflation, control the supply of money, and set interests rates. It has nothing to do with the middle class (or any other class).

What do you do for the middle class? Everyone here seems to hate government but look to government for a hand-out. Like kids still living under their parent's roof. I hate your, you stink, hey can I have $20 and where's my diner anyway?!
