All console games are saved on DVDs rather then regular CDs, mainly for storage. (that why games like Final Fantasy VII for the PS1 had 3 CDs)

That means your game requires that your computer have a DVD disk drive in it in order to play the game. You'll know if you have a DVD drive, just look at your computer where your CD drive is. It should say something like CD ROM, CD Writer, DVD writer, or anything like that. If it says anything OTHER than DVD, then it's not DVD compatible. You won't be able to play DVD's in that drive, nor will you be able to play any games that require a DVD drive.

I would assume it means that it has to be played in a DVD drive and not a CD drive.
