It seems that my team, OSU, will jump to number 1 after LSU and Cal lost today. My friend seems to think that USF deserves to be number 1 instead of us but i obviously disagree. While we do have a weak schedule, we have dominated every game. What do you think?

looks like we have our answer and i agree with it. It would be great to see osu and usf duke it out in the bcs championship, but first both teams have to win out. go bucks!!!

Ohio State will get the top ranking based both on dominance of weak opponents, and somewhat because of reputation which I believe stills sways voters. If they based it on impressive victories, however, it would have to be South Florida. They won at Auburn, and beat WVU when they were ranked fifth in the country.
Still, I have a hard time picturing SFU at the top spot. It would just look bizarre in the rankings.

Okay, your friend is smoking crack. I hate OSU and USF is my alma mater but come on. OSU has been destroying people and USF has not until this week. Until USF wins another test game like Cincinatti or Louisville I think they will stay at No. 3, which is where they will be after this weekend. Look for OSU No.1, BC No. 2, USF No.3, and Oklahoma No.4 and LSU No. 5. I could even see a tie between USF and Oklahoma because OU beat a ranked opponent. By the way, USF has beaten the higher ranked teams, but they don't have reputation on their side.

I see USF at 3, But the points will be close.. USF still has some ranked teams to play so it will not be hard for them to jump up to 2 or 1

OSU will get it. They have over a hundred years more history than USF. I would LOVE to see OSU vs. USF in a BCS game. I have OSU alum in the family, and I go to USF.
Where's the love for Kansas BTW?
1. OSU
2. USF
3. BC
4. LSU
5. OU

I find it funny people write off USF because they struggled against a solid Florida Atlantic side who will win the Sun Belt, not saying much, but still a decen team. I guess Defeating the same Auburn team at Auburn that beat Florida at Florida is not good enough and then beating West Virginia must not be good enough to be better than at least BC.

USF will not be number 1. Ohio State will be number 1, BC will be number 2 and I'd put Oklahoma at number 3.

Honestly neither team DESERVES to be #1 but it has to go to someone and they are two of the three remaining top 10 teams that are undefeated. I doubt anyone actually thinks that they are the best two teams in the country though. Whoever believes that doesn't watch the games.
But OSU will be #1. They haven't been tested yet though. We saw what happened last year when they finally did get tested.

How can you people put Oklahoma at #3? They loss to an unranked opponent! I would still have LSU ahead of them! They loss to a #17 team at their home in 3OT!! Plus LSU already beat 3 ranked teams! (VT, South Carolina, FL) while OU only beat Texas and Missouri!
My top 10:
1 OSU
2 BC
3 USF
4 LSU
5 OU
6 South Carolina
7 West Virginia
8 Kentucky
9 Oregon
10 Cal

I would give it to USF, more impressive wins. I am a buckeye fan, and it really doesn't matter until the end, but right now I would put USF at number 1.

The Ohio State University. They are higher ranked, have allowed no more than 7 points in the last few games and are a traditional power.
