Ok, it seems to me that everywhere i look here, there are always people using bad grammar and misspelling alot of their words. For example, ur instead of your or you're, or ya instead of yes or yeah. People use bad grammar to the point where you cannot even understand them. It's like they don't even put any effort into spelling correctly! Who else agrees with me?

I am talking about bad spelling to the point where it is hard to understand what the person is talking about.

I hate when i can't understand what the person is trying to write or even what they mean by their question.
A few misspelled words here and there aren't bad.......But i know what you mean.

I am a sort of perfectionist and this is very annoying! But I guess it is acceptable (to some degree) over MSN or other instant messaging services to save time, but people have no excuse for bad spelling (unless it's a hard/long word, but then there's always spell check) unless of course they are learning english as a second language or they are plain stupid.

me!! i am sick and tired of poor grammar and spelling. people these days have no idea that they are contributing to their own stupidity. they continue using this monkey speech thinking that it's a short cut but in the long run it can only hurt them.

this has gotten to the point where once kids get in school, they are failing the simplest english tests. i have seen kids in my high school make errors so horrible that my jaw literally falls open. i am constantly astonished at the degeneration of my gerneration. i am literally scared that these kids that are in high school now will someday be out in the world driving our streets, working important jobs, and many things that require a minimum amount of intelligence.

what does the future hold for this world if kids nowadays cannot even put together a coherant sentence?

I do it when I am chatting with my friends but answering on yahoo answers saying "ya i am sickk of itt likee soo much ritee?", is not a good way to put it. Especially because I want to be an author when I grow up I don' t think that bad grammar will help me that much.

it annoys me too. i am by far not perfect where grammar and spelling go but i do try to double check and correct myself before posting. this new text typing is what really bugs me on here. its not a phone people spell it out so we know what you are asking.

I can't stand it! My mother and I were having a conversation today about that. It amazes me that people don't seem to know the english language.

I don't claim to always be grammatically correct, but I have a good grasp of the language. It annoys the hell out of me, especially on answers, when you see girls asking about pregnancy and sex and can't even spell half of the things they are talking about! It amazes me.

Where, oh where, has our educational system gone?

I can deal with typos (though running the spell check never killed anyone), and I can deal with a certain amount of U instead of "you". When you stop using sentences you can not expect to be understood.

I do. I will admit to having bad spelling and grammar, especially when I am holding one of my kids. It does annoy me when other people do it, when there is a SPELL CHECK!
