I find that funny considering when I was in Elementery school our school library had books on things like tanks, machine guns and fighter jets. Parents need to put the cell phone down, stop putting their careers first and start paying attention to their kids

I think several factors play into it, not just media/entertainment. I think the media tends to focus a bit too much on negative things, and that impacts several people. But I think the music industry has a lot to do with it. They glamorize sex, drugs, gangs, and violence, and have become rich doing so, which makes it look good, when we all know the reality. I think video games can be part of it, as several of these are very graphic in violence. But I don't directly blame these sources. I think the main problem is a person's upbringing. There seems to be a lack of parenting on several different levels. Either the parents don't care what their kids listen to/watch/do/hang out with, etc. or they are afraid to do something about it when they see the negative behavior. Our culture has become so afraid to actually be good parents, or to take the responsibility of that task.

I doubt there will be a ban on violent Hollywood movies and such,but if the new Hate Crimes Bill gets passed,I fully expect in the near future for preachers to be jailed simply for preaching their beliefs.

The Bible just tells it like it is... mankind has always rebelled against God and they've had a yearning to do things against their fellow human beings by actions or attitudes.

That's why the Ten Commandments were given to Moses. God knew man's heart.
1) No other gods, only me.
2) No carved gods of any size, shape, or form of anything whatever
3) No using the name of God, your God, in curses or silly banter; God won't put up with the irreverent use of his name.
4) Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
5) Honor your father and mother so that you'll live a long time in the land that God, your God, is giving you.
6) No murder.
7) No adultery.
8) No stealing.
9) No lies about your neighbor.
10) Don't set your heart on anything that is your neighbor's.

You notice the first 4 commandments are commands about the relationship between God and man. The last six are about the relationship between humans.

The world has always seen violence because of the problem of man's rebellion against God. If preachers don't continue to preach God's Truth, you will find yourself, your family, your culture, and your whole global world in deep doo-doo.

Don't be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!—harvests a crop of weeds. All he'll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God's Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life.

I am sick and tired of heathens bashing Christians. You have no idea what you are talking about. I don't mind if you have an opinion but you don't. You just bash Christians.
