I have searched all over because I love it too... and as far as I can can tell, no one has the answer for that beautiful piece of music. It is not 'Palladio' by Jenkins which is used in other DeBeers ads.. but the answer to your first responder is Cat Powers singing a cover of Cat Stevens song: 'How Can I Tell You." Your ad is called "Hands" and was developed by J.Walter Thompsom advertising. People have written to the agency with this query and have not been answered.

Mute it! DeBeers is an international monopoly on diamonds. They artificially hold diamonds from the market in order to drive the prices sky high, because they can. Diamonds are actually very common.
Did you know that some members of the DeBeers family are wanted in the USA and subject to immediate arrest upon arrival? Every day people suffer and die for this greedy, evil ,family.
From the Frontline report "The Diamond Empire"-

"As the Soviet Union became an important source of small stones, the problem for the diamond industry became finding cutters willing to work for low enough wages to make these stones profitable. India soon developed into the world's greatest cutting center. There are 750,000 cutters in workshops around Surat, perhaps 100,000 of them children under 13. They place 58 exact cuts on a diamond less than half a carat, smaller than a broken pencil lead. Many children work a 12-hour day, six days a week. They earn 4 cents a stone."

An excerpt from the Allegretto from Palladio, the opening movement and the first track on Diamond Music, has become the musical signature for DeBeers Diamonds in a popular ad campaign that began in 1995. Jenkins conducts the London Philharmonic Orchestra and violinists Konstantin Stoianov, Duncan Riddell, Robert St. John and Dermot Crehan on the recording,
