Well different countries drive on different sides of the road. I live in Australia and we drive on the left. England and Japan are two other major left side driving countries. The origins for driving on the left side of the road is due to medieval times when most men were right handed, to best defend themselves while battling, they rode on the left side of the road so they could swing their sword with their right. Samurais rode on the left because of the diagonal direction they placed their swords on their backs, the same direction as this \
if they rode on the other side then their swords would hit each other as they rode past. The French drive on the right because Napoleon changed the side that they battled on because he wanted to confuse the english when they were battling, giving the french a surprise advantage. The Americans were greatly influenced by the French and didnt want to be associated with their colonial heritage so they chose to drive on the right as well. Australia drive on the left because our heritage is english. Other countries may have changed to the right because neighbouring countries did and crossing the border became problematic, people crashing into each other etc. THis is why canada changed from the left to the right, because of crossing the border with america

The right side, and yes, contrary to popular belief, I do drive on the right side. Actually the middle works the best, especially in the Suburbs.

It depends on where you live. If you live in the USA, then drive on the right side. If you live in England or Australia, it's the left side.

Normally the right side but when no one is around.....the left.....I go down the middle also and pretend my car is pac-man while he is eating those yellow dots in the middle of the road.
I confess to saying "wacka wacka" while doing so also. I'm a dork lol
