I put out a question last weekend about how USC lost and some other top ranked teams lost as well. People said they havent notcied anything.

Well now that Cal ranked 2 and LSU ranked 1.....cant i say im right? so far 5 top ranked teams from the beginning have lost. What in the world is going on?

That is why they play the games..

Also, a good reason to wait until like week 7 before putting out any polls...so that nobody gets ranked high and stays there undeserving..

Of course this year, who deserves what..we are going to have Boston College and South Florida in the top 3, and I feel that neither one of them are truly a top 3 team, but can't really argue with other teams losing..but they still have to run the table and also, the BCS with strength of schedule may not be so kind to them..

Who knows where we will end up. Ohio state still has Penn State and Michigan. Boston College has VaTech, FSU, Clemson, Miami. South Florida has Cinnci and Rutgers.

Who knows where we will end up at the end..

howdy guy stick including your weapons, USC is down yet they are not out. this is the twelve months of the Upsets, inspite of each and every thing, and there continues to be numerous soccer to be performed. They lost to Stanford, no longer Appalachian State. LSU and Cal and OSU and BC each and each have numerous video games left on their slate that they might certainly lose, and USC has sufficient high quality warring parties left on theirs that they could make up for this one piccadillo and get returned into the hunt for the BCS Bowl.... i may well be happy to work out Cal interior the championship sport, however. i'm partial to CA activities customarily, so i'm going to root for USC or Cal or UCLA or maybe Stanford vs anybody else :)

alter universe! Strange, come Monday seeing OSU at the top and BC right behind them with South Florida there! What the hell right? My world was flipped upside down after the KY incident! Atleast the KY was applied otherwise it would have been painful! I sat there all afternoon not in the least bit worried, until the dropped ball in the end zone when for atleast the second time LSU could have put KY away. Oh well! Funny Yr!

it's probably their mindset that they are "in the top 5" that has gotten to them. they think that just because they are ranked in top 5 and playing an unranked team will be easy....well this is their wake up call. Kentucky was ranked #17 but LSU thought that since last week they beat #9 Florida that Kentucky would be easier than last week. well they fo sho cut it close and lost in the end. Idk about USC and Cal but i surely watched the LSU game

The teams up in the top always say "we're in the top 5, we're untouchable." Then, when they get their asses kicked, they'll say, "it had nothing to do with the other team, we just played our worse game ever."

NEWSFLASH

Just because you're a top 5 team, doesn't mean that an unranked team is going to roll over for you. If you don't prepare for the game, you're going to lose, (see Cal this week). If you turn the ball over, you're going to lose, (see USC last week). Frankly, if you don't play your heart out every game, you're not going to win at the college level.

It makes great for conversation and I think is making college football even more fun to watch (not that it isn't great anyway). Nothing is predictable anymore. Me being an Ohio State fan, I'm nervous about next weeks game against Penn State... anything can happen.

Yes, that opens the door for my Ohio State Buckeyes to be rated number 1.
