General Powell will not run. His wife's medical condition is a limiting factor and is the type of malady which would put the tabloids into over-drive mode. So, to save his wife that sort of anguish, he won't seek the nomination.

Powell already said he wouldn't run..he doesn't like the smear campaigns and think it's nothing more than a popularity contest.
