The end is so near that we cannot even comprehend how near it is. To some the end can be the next moment; to some after some years. But to all the end will come.
After the end comes to me nothing matters - nothing exists.
Who cares what happens to Earth - whose end may be millions of years from now - I am not there at that time.
The only tragedy and foolishness is that I think the end won't come to me - I never think that it can come from anywhere at any time.
Even if I believe in re-birth, how do I know whether I will be born again on this earth or this solar system?
In that foolish fantasy that I will live for ever, I am so worried about the end of the earth in millions of years from now!
How ignorant we are!

Chris,
these are the facts about the end of the time of the gentiles and that is what all this talk about the end of time is.
first lets explain that. the jews were told to go and make the knowledge of salvation through the Messiah known, they did not. there is what is called the 70 week prophesy and at the end of week 69, messiah is killed or cut off in the bible. There is a break and then week 70 occurs.
between week 69 and week 70 of the prophesy, is now known as the time of the gentiles, when salvation is offered to all, not just the jew, through Jesus Christ. When the number of the gentiles is complete, that is, the ones that will accept Jesus as Savior has made a confession of faith in him, then will come the rapture or the removal of the Church from the earth.
In the book of revelation, you have chapter one, the introduction, revelation 2-4, which is the state of the churches then and now, and after chapter 4, there is no mention of the church again, good reason for that
The tribulation is to lead people back to repentance. The church has already agreed with the LORD that they are sinners and need salvation so they are pulled out of the picture.
also, the jews (remember the 70th week) have to make atonement for sin and usher in everlasting righteousness. This is done by the 12,000 from the 12 tribes of isreal. They will preach the gospel, not the gentile church.
a week is 7 days, or years. at the end of 3 1/2 years, the anti-christ will proclaim himself god. When that happens, you can mark your calender, in exacly 1260 days, Jesus will return to set up his kingdom.
When Jesus comes back, if you are not a christian, you will die along with the army that shows up to depose the LORD. Only Christians will be allowed to enter the kingdom of the LORD.
You might not like that, but if you have denied the LORD all these years, survive a living hell on earth, do you really think you want to live under the iron hand of the LORD who will prevent any act of lawlessness
in this time period, people can do what they want. In the privacy of their homes they can murder someone if they want. In the kingdom, they will be stopped from even thinking or trying to act on anything evil.
the chilistic jews, (died out more than 400 years before Jesus) were of the opinion that man is so sinful, that even the LORD GOD of Isreal could not stop the sin of man in his kingdom. I believe they are right.
as for the kingdom, at the end of it, all life on earth will cease, and those who are in christ will live, the others shall perish in the lake of fire, forever lost and without hope.
that is the truth, and I doubt many here know the bible well enough to provide this, or know the things to come well enough to tell you that today is the day of salvation, if you hear his voice, harden not your heart
email me if you want

It is apparent, scripturally, that we are in the last days. The Bible tells of the "beasts of the fields" causing death -- Lyme Disease, Aids (from the African Green Monkey), mad cow disease, and is the Avian Flu virus the next one to plague mankind? The Bible also says there will be hurricanes, famines, earthquakes in diverse places -- we see that happening today. Many places that never had tornados now have them. World events seem to be leading up to the take over by the one world government -- the UN, the Tri-Lateral Commission, the EU, upheaval in Iraq, many nations turning against Israel. These are just some of prophetic events that are documented in the Bible. Israel became a nation after 2,000 in 1947 (1946?) and the Bible says "This generation shall not pass away". Add 50 years to 1947 and the year becomes 1997; then the 6 day war in 1967-- 2007. The earth will be rebuilt and yes, there will be life, but not as we know it. The Lord will create a new heaven and earth where He will reign with us forever and ever. But only His people will be here, those who did not reject Him in this life and accepted Him as their Savior.

No, the end is not near. There is no end, the human race is not doomed for extinction. Life will remain on earth for a few billion more years. We are nearing the end of a dark time. What comes now is the light. Religion is going to fall by the wayside and deep spirituality will take it's place. The earth itself will begin to recover as we are ready for a big shift on how energy will be produced. So take it easy, there is no need for undo fear. Only suggestion... stay away from the coastlines for awhile and you'll do great.

The life cycle starts again, anything over 50 pounds will perish and a new species will inherit the Earth until their demise in 12 million years.

No, the end is not really really near. It won't happen until 2084, when the poor finally rise up against the rich all over the world the meek will take over everything from governments to multinational corporations, and it will look like a great new day for the underdog. However, it won't work out because a Mayan God will come down on or about November 16th of that year, and he will say it is too late for social justice, and with one wave of his enormous wand, the entire world will catch on fire and burn for 40 days and 40 nights, and the only forms of life left will be plankton, and humans will never evolve again. Thus the saying that the meek will inherit the world is true, but it will only last a few months until the fire. It is really too bad.

I was watching the History or Discovery channel and according to the Mayans, who many believe have predicted major events on this earth, the world will end in December 2012. They also believe that a dominant life form will develop again as it has always done. Who knows what life form it will be. I think its the cockroaches turn to dominate the earth.

My My...You and I seem to wonder about the same things.
Lately, I have become so broken-hearted over all that I
see humanity doing to one another...kids bringing mass
murder to the schools meant to teach and nurture...Da Far
where there is a mass genocide of all the men and boys with all the women and young girls being made to prostitute. (Did you know that you can buy one of these children for $33 American dollars?) Iraq, Iran Russia, all oil rich and now smart enough to know it.
I don't know how to spread God's love sometimes. I just feel so overwhelmed.
Sometimes, I think we will have a nuclear holocaust and between that and the global warming we will live in pretty much a vast desert.
I continue to pray for inspiration. Try this: Bible New testament
Mark Chpt 13. Meditate on it's deeper message for people like you and me.
Peace

I don't think anyone really knows the anwser to that one. It really makes u wonder if the end is near. Between what mankind is doing to each other and to the earth, and then all of the floods, hurricanes, and all of the other disasters. Maybe there will be some left and maybe they will start new life then again if it is the end I would think that would mean the end of earth so there would be nothing left. I guess we will never know

It sure is. And from your question, I can see that you are very frightend and confused. That wouldn't have happened and you wouldn't be asking this question, if you read the bible more often and not followed the footsteps of others that lead you to thinking that the world is about what you see it. Having the best clothes, shoes, and having the best costume for halloween to show off. Well, I can tell you this you still have time to make the right choice, and ask for forgiveness. It not too late to do that.
