-12+x = x+10

Get all X's on one side

-12+x-x=10

x-x=12+10

0=22

0 Cannot Equal 22. There is no solution.

x-12 = x+10
x-x = 10+12
0=22

this means that there is no solution to this math problem. Which when you think of it makes sense. There is no number that stays the same when you subtract it by 12 and add 10 to it ;)

-12 + x = x + 10
-x -x (subtract x from both sides to get variable on one side of the equation)
When you do this both x's cancell and you get:
-12 = 10
Since that is not a true statement the equation has
NO SOLUTION

This question has no solution.

-12 + x = x + 10
Add 12 to both sides.
x = x + 22
Add -x to both sides
0 = 22 which, of course, is impossible.

there is no solution.
after you subtract x from both sides the x's are elimnated leaving a false statement because 10 and -12 are not equal

2007-10-13 15:47:54 · answer #6 · answered by Kelley Sue 2 · 1 0

You are gonna wanna get the x's together on one side of the equation and the numbers on the other side

once you move the x over it cancels the other one out

-12 = 10

This is a false statement

2007-10-13 15:47:24 · answer #7 · answered by Ms. Exxclusive 5 · 1 2

NO SOLUTION

Subtract x on both sides

-12 = 10

This is a contradiction and therefore no solution.
