Alright, well at long last I have compiled a master list of all my 80s music. My question is:

Obviously, you'd be aware of the big hits like "Walking On Sunshine" by Katrina & The Waves, and "Come On Eileen" by Dexy's Midnight Runners. Here's a few more: We Built This City - Starship I Ran - A Flock Of Seagulls Don't You (Forget About Me) - Simple Minds 99 Luftballoons - Nena Dance Hall Days - Wang Chung Take On Me - A-Ha White Wedding - Billy Idol Echo Beach - Martha & the Muffins It's My Life - Talk Talk (No Doubt had a hit with their version of this a couple of years ago) That's just a few suggestions...maybe you could look up some 80s websites, they'd have heaps more ideas.

well being that in
1980 470 songs charted on the billboard chart
1981 408 songs charted on the billboard chart
1982 424 songs charted on the billboard chart
1983. 452 songs charted on the billboard chart
1984. 434 songs charted on the billboard chart
1985. 404 songs charted on the billboard chart
1986. 397 songs charted on the billboard chart
1987. 398 songs charted on the billboard chart
1988. 387 songs charted on the billboard chart
1989. 392 songs charted on the billboard chart
that would be 4,169 songs charting in the decade of the 80's
but since you couldn't have all of them downloaded..
i would guess it to be about 1,785 songs

after thought... and of course there are the songs that didn't chart on the hot 100 on billboard. .there is a book called bubbling under on the billboard charts that has everything over number 100.....lol but i dont have that book..
