ok i love love love the view. i am not sure how i feel about Elisabeth Hasselbeck because i did just start watching it a few weeks or so ago. i love Barbara and Joy! and i think that Sherry is hilarous. but i have been noticing Barbara has been not only short but annoyed with Elisabeth. does anyone else see this? i did my homework and have watched numerous videos of old episodes and realize ALOT of people don't like Elisabeth. i mean sweet Alicia Silverstone even dissed her. lemme know what you all think...

Yes, her patience with Elisabeth has definitely changed! Also, Elisabeth hasn't really said much on the days that Barbara is on. It's almost like she is afraid to speak up (which is good!) I think that while Elisabeth is on maternity leave, they will have people fill in for her, and I don't think that her contract will be renewed! I am crossing my fingers for that!! Oh, by the way, I think Barbara is going to freak about Joy saying "F**K" on the show the other day.

There has been a few guests 'dissing' Elisabeth, although they have been doing it discreetly. I am not sure if it is whether the issue would be about her politics, or her righteous attitude. But, it seems to me that she may not be as well liked as you would think just by looking at her. Only time will tell...and yes, Barbara, although gracious to a fault, is seemingly getting frustrated with her and probably cannot wait for the 'maternity leave' to settle the crew down....having said that, will she bring her back? It would depend on the contract....Elisabeth won't change while she is away, so she may even be more righteous and knowing it all when she had the 2nd child...it seemed to start with the 1st.....

Wow !! I agree with the majority of you.
Elisabeth is dumber than a box of rocks.
She is ill informed and clueless mostly because she admits that she only watches Faux (Fox) News.
She spews false information and then thinks she can get away with it with that smug look that she gives....and YES-- she does still believe that we need to be in Iraq because of the "terrorists" and blurts it out every chance she gets.
She lives in her own little safe, perfect world with all her personal friends that agree with her and doesn't know how to respond/react when someone disagrees with her on the show.
She certainly brings down the ratings and I feel that Barbara Walters has finally seen the light....(Hopefully !!)
Whoppi was on "The David Letterman Show" a few weeks ago and he asked Whoppi if there was any host that wasn't too smart/bright or something of that nature.
Of course, Whoppi avoided the question and just laughed.
I got a charge out of that because he was obviously referring to Elisabeth.
It's nice to know other people see her stupidity like we do. Dave Letterman is a very intelligent man and I have alot of respect for him.
I don't like Sherry either. She is another clueless broad. I've tried to like her but can't get past her giddyness.
Barbara is also a Republican but she tries to remain neutral. She has class. Btw--Barbara dated John Warner (Senator of Virginia) several years ago.
So....NO!---I dislike Elisabeth and use the mute button quite often when she goes on her tirades. She puts me over the edge.

I have never liked Elisabeth. Her only claim to fame is being on the Survivor, isn't it? She is tooooooo much for me. I don't even like the way she constantly holds her chin in her hand.
I wasn't aware that others do not like her.
But I don't like Sherry either. She is a bit too potty mouth for me. All she likes to talk about is sex. I really didn't want her to be one of the new ones. Then I heard that Barbara actually took a cut in pay to get the show to take her on................I didn't understand that as straight laced as Barbara seems to act.
Gayle King was my choice. And I love Whoopi and Joy.

Elisabeth is a republican, the rest of the panel are mostly democrats. Therefore, her views are much different with theirs. She doesn't seem like she agrees with them because of this. Its not that the others like to fight with her, but she is the only one on the panel that follows that political stand, so they can gang up on her. As for her view that we should be in Iraq. I don't think she feels that way, but when the decision was made to go to war she felt it was necessary. This was the view of all political parties if anyone remembers 9/11. The country has seemed to forget what happened to get us in a war. If terrorism was still in the news daily and on our own turf, maybe we wouldn't be so against Elisabeth's views. One final note, the show is called the view. They aren't supposed to get along. They are supposed to discuss their ideas on different ideas. The views of the panel and people at home may or not agree with Elisabeth's, but thats the point to the show. By the way, Alicia Silverstone only dissed her because she was the first guest after a blow out between Elisabeth and Rosie O. So she was nervous on what to say to her, since the blow up happened just minutes before she walked out.

i hate elisabeth hasselbeck. she is so stupid and she thinks that she is ALWAYS right and everything in her world is as perfect as a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie. can you believe the time she said her husband doesn't look at porn? like she couldn't believe anyone would even insinuate something like that? like her marriage is perfect and her husband doesn't even look at other women because he is just sooooo in love with her. she is friggin' clueless as hell. he's probably at the strip joint while she is taping the show, dumba** broad. oh and she is strapped to GW's a** 24/7, she believes he can do no wrong. she needs to stay on maternity leave PERMANENTLY.

You mean you're actually analyzing the View? Barbara treats them all alike on the air.
I hate Joy and Sherri is a loud-mouth pig. Elisabeth's voice is annoying and Babs should retire. Whoopi doesn't need the View either.
