I'm with you guys. Steve Perry's voice is what makes the band so awesome. Sure wish he was still with Journey.

a lot of people dont like them--but i DO!!
I saw them in concert bout a year ago, and it was pretty good, considering steve perry was present--still good!
Jonathan Cain and Neal Schon have decent solo careers to this day, and I hear some of their stuff on the jazz stations.
my fave journey songs have to include:
1.)I'll be alright without you
2.) Send her my love
3.) faithfully
4.) Seperate ways (the video is a guilty pleasure!)
5.) when you love a woman

A great all around band:
When Steve Perry was with them, they could do no wrong. Fantastic voice.

me! i can play almost all their songs (except "lights" its out of print unfortunately) on piano/ synth (depending on what the song needs). my favourites of their songs are "don't stop believing" and "separate ways" although all their songs are good. however, i do not like their new singer. the band is great still, but the singer is horrible. they need to get steve perry back, or at least someone whose voice fits the songs.
like my other favourite band, styx. they need dennis deyoung back, their new guy laurence gowan is horrible...
too bad things change. i guess it make you thankful to have recorded versions of the originals.
