The powers that decide believed so. They are the ones who decide, not anyone else. Believe it or not, the people on Yahoo Answers do not make the choice. These people can decide if they care about the noble peace prize or not. From the response I have been reading, even conservatives seem to value that award. If they did not, they would not be so mad. Just remember, they did not give him the award for his film. They gave it to him for bringing out an awareness to the problem.

How do you equate this prize as being too political? It was awarded by an international committee, not by any political party in this country. He wrote a book & told an inconvenient truth that many in this country do not want to face. It means putting forth an effort that they don't consider worth their valuable time & effort. They think that even if it is true, they will all be dead before it happens so, let the next generation worry about it! Heck, I'm old, but I want to see that the next generation gets to lead the kind of life on this planet that I have been able to enjoy! I watch my carbon foot print as much as possible! Land-a-gracious guys, even your President has come around to believing in it!

Gore is a phony in an empty suite. He is an alarmist and a fraud. The inconvenient Truth is full of out right lies. He is a big fat rich guy who live a lie and is a contributor to the pollution of the earth. Come to think of it, those are some pretty good credentials, why he could be the next President.

I actually agree with you! The guy didn't solve the problem, contributes to it, and there's a lot of loose money being exchanged between him and those who are declaring this 'emergency'!
