I'm not dumb enough to pretend like I know who will win. That said, I HOPE the Red Wings win the Cup this year!

They're in the Top 10 teams in the NHL by anyone's barometer, but I still think the Sharks and Ducks are the teams to beat in the Western Conference. Even if they get over that hump, I suspect the Senators or Rangers to be waiting for them in Finals... so it won't be easy.
That said, they're well coached, have some great players in Datsyuk, Lidstrom, and Zetterberg, and have the deepest bench in the game. the only question is can Hasek stay healthy. If so, they have a decent shot.

Well considering Anaheim had a tough series with them in the playoffs last year with Detroit missing 2 of their top 4 defense-men shows how tough Detroit really is. The team stayed pretty much intact and got younger where they did loose people. If they stay healthy I'd watch out for the winged wheel.

Whoever began this rumor needs their weblog far off from the internet. regrettably, the Wings did no longer enable Pittsburgh win the Cup. this is kinda confusing to play against a set enjoying that properly whilst considered one of your proper gamers decides to no longer ensue (Hossa).

I do not concur.............2 losses to Chicago automatically eliminates you from consideration.
Now, if only the Black Hawks could score goals against teams other than Detroit

No, they play in a weak division and they skate through, then they don't make it to the Cup Finals, showing their effort was a fluke.
Besides, Hasek doesn't have it in him to totally steal a game anymore like he used to.

if the redwings stay healthy i think they've got a good shot to win it all. the young guys all got some playoff experience last year. but they need to add a couple bigger guys for the playoffs, some muscle. if not, they arent winning two series.

No i do not. for one,the season just started so its too soon to tell who could be dominate, and two,you just dont know what can happen.an 8th seed in the playoffs can get hot and start clicking and take it all,you just never know.
