...although there don't seem to be any immediate plans, as far as I can tell, to do a sequel to "Silverado", I always DID feel there was a slight lack of resolution, at the end; after all, the two brothers, played by Scott Glen and Kevin Costner, were always referring to their trip to California, yet in the course of the film, they never really made it there, that is until the end, where they appeared to be on the way there...
...then, of course, there's the definite need for recasting, as the actors who portrayed those gritty and vibrant characters, have gotten older; Kevin Costner now looks nowhere near like the cocky and arrogant young gunslinger, that he did in the 1985 film...
...a sequel to "Silverado" might not so much concentrate so much on the exploits of the brothers, anyways, despite the closing line, "We'll be back!!!"; personally, I was always more intrigued with the character, Paden, as portrayed by Kevin Kline. I was also quite taken by the Sheriff Langston character, as played by John Cleese, who's performance ringed most familiar, for anyone who saw Kenneth Moore's comical gun-slinging Brit character in the 1958 western/comedy, "The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw"...
...despite that lack of resolution previously mentioned, I'd probably say, at least for now, the producers and writers, who might be game to scribble and mold a potential follow-up, should just leave things are they are...
