Not bad,
The song that I think is the most "haunting" and also one of my favorite songs is "The End Of This Chapter" by Sonata Arctica.

Unfortunately Sonata Arctica never made a proper vid of this, though there are a few fan based vids at youtube that aren't too bad.

Edit:
Well sure I've heard Heartattack In A Layby, from In Absentia, great CD! I donno if 'haunting' is quite the right word to describe it, though a bit scary when singing about having a heart attack ...well at least at my age it is.

Bill...I think you're meaning Gallows Pole. There isn't a Zeppelin song named Hangman.

Haunting you say? Darkness Darkness performed by Robert Plant (originally the Youngbloods) is very haunting. So is When A Blind Man Cries (Deep Purple), Beside You (Van Morrison), Still I'm Sad (The Yardbirds), The Last Trip To Tulsa (Neil Young), The Stranger Song (Leonard Cohen) and so many more. Haunting is my favorite.

Climbing up the Walls- Radiohead
the lyrics are so creepy.
i think thats one of the most haunting ones they've done, yet radiohead has a knack for making about every song haunting in one way or another.
