ok i know that's a no no on taking pills in the car, because u'll drop it but i had to. so i have butter fingers and dropped my pill so i just took the next one in the pack while i was looking for the lost one. still can't find it. i was thinking i should just take a pill from the other pack i have. and go to the doctor and say i lost the other pack or what else can i do.

my birth control pill and yes it's for sex and to have a period every month.

if you are on a monophasic pill type (each pill has the same amount of hormones) you can just skip the week long placebo pills and go straight onto the next pack - youll still be protected from pregnancy that way.

It won't hurt you to only take 20 pills instead of 21, and it won't affect your protection, either. Just don't skip a dose of the active pills.
