Boston whaler is not the only brand that won't sink! In fact, Triumph brand boats are not only unsinkable, but practically indestructible. They are made of a one-piece polyethlene mold called Roplene. The material floats by itself, unlike fiberglass. I have seen a Triumph run into a concrete bridge piling around 30 MPH and BOUNCE OFF!! The guy driving got hurt but the boat only had a scuff! They also never need waxing, have a lifetime warranty, and are cheaper than Whalers. We used whalers as a comparison for selling. Like we always say, whalers are unsinkable, so are the pieces! Check out Triumphboats.com for some UNBELIEVABLE tough boat tests. They have a 191 fish and ski that would be perfect for you.

If, it look like a boat, then it probably a boat. There is no best. But, there is a preference. I prefer Glastron, but, most the boats I have had were Arrowglass. Having worked for 2 boat dealers many years ago I have setup many Rangers for Pro Bass Competitions. They have a good hull, easy to rig and not hard to get to wires etc. Easy to reach the front bow stuff should you need to change a Trolling Motor, light etc. Also, over the years I have not seen a lot of trouble with Transoms Rotting out, and really the other boats are the same. It really depends on the boat dealer you buy from. They not mount your engine correct then in time you will know it.

The Key West's are sweet boats, costing +/- two thirds the price of a Whaler. These boats ride exceptionally well in the rough water, and are of similar building patterns as Whalers. People often say that these boats will out-ride a Whaler, and I am one of those people. You should see the factory options that these things come with, taking for example the 186 Dual Console. Four Stoke Yamaha Outboard powered, captains chairs, CD Stereo, livewells, bow rail, washdown, cushions, swim platform, and much more..by the way, this is all Standard!! Everyone knows that Whaler makes a good boat, but what they don't know is that Key West is any mariner's best kept secret. Hit up their website and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Four Winns Horizon 190 for sure. Its got a plastic deck with snap in rugs, rather than glued rugs like the competition, that really helps make it easier to clean up (or you can remove the rugs and just hose off the boat when you're done). Its got a bigger engine than the competition, and the Volvo Penta Transdome Drive is way nicer than Mercruiser (I have boats with each of these drives). It also got way more nifty features (like a driver seat that goes up and down and a second sonar next to the fishing platform). The 180 is a foot shorter but $1700 cheaper.

It depends on how you will be using it. The ranger is good inshore, but if you choose to go offshore something like an Edgewater, Grady White or Whaler will work best. See what other folks use in your area as a good dealer in the area may decide what is the best brand for you. If you are on salt water be sure you get something with good stainless fasteners as a lot of inland built boats, like four winns, do not hold up well with a lot of salt water usage.

in case you get a tahoe, all the different fishermen will chuckle at you. take a seem at skeeter. there's a reason Tahoe boats are inexpensive -- issues like, extra on your budget production strategies, much less physically powerful hardware screwed into gelcoat somewhat of via-bolted, wood areas no longer accurately sealed against water intrusion, etc. acceptable Ten clarification why Outboards Are extra advantageous: 10. Engine does not take in useful area extra advantageous utilized for livewell/baitwell/fishing equipment/beer. 9. does not require a contortionist to paintings on the engine. 8. severe means-to-weight ratio. 7. Repower? person-friendly bolt-off, bolt-on. 6. Winterize? no desire. 5. Navigating shallow water or stumpfield? Parking on the coastline? Spur of the 2d prop replace? No situation - engine tilts thoroughly out of the water. 4. No bellows. 3. Trim meter broke? Who cares, purely seem on the motor. 2. ineffective battery? you probably did keep that little rope with the preserve that is composed of all outboards, astounding? And the form one reason outboards are extra advantageous: a million. truthfully everyone can see how huge this is.
