I have these nasty insects in my bathroom. I just spotted one while I was in the bathroom and had enough. Okay, they are brown and have like a million legs, way bigger than a centipede. What are they? Ew Ew Ew, i'm in the northeast if that helps any. Thanks for any info!

It may be bigger than a centipede, but it is a centipede alright.
They are called house centipedes and are attracted to moist areas and that is probably why you spotted it in your bathroom. They are not dangerous, but they can bite and from what I've read it can smart a bit.

Here is an article all about the biology and control of house centipedes:

they are centipedes, but called house centipedes and they feed on other insects and are not harmful to humans. The only way to prevent them is keep your bathroom dry and clean as well as the rest of the home. they usually stay in bathrooms and occassionally will be in the kitchen, but not often. they are harmless but do good around the house and can get in through cracks and etc.

I live in the midatlantic and they are here too, but I only see them when the insect population is bad outside. Mid summer with the misquitos and right now when bugs are trying to find a way into the house when it gets cold.
