Go online and read all the 'making of' blogs on the film, reviews, etc. Read about how it was written, cast, shot, special EFX, etc. Once you know where all the scary bits will be in the movie (and how they faked it) you'll be able to watch it like a champ.

Yeah I don't make it a habit to watch scary movies alone but sometimes you just get sucked up in them. Then, I have to make sure that my house is extra secure and that my closet doors are closed so that nothing comes out.

Yes, the other night I was watching my freaky wedding video which was horrifying because I couldn't figure out how that got that many fat people on 38 minutes of film. Anyway, as I was watching, I could have swore I heard my mother-in-law polishing the shotgun she had at our wedding.

I've seen that movie at my friend's house!
We watched it in the morning, so it was okay.
But that movie was scary. Emily Rose was scary.
I can't watch scary movies by myself....Love stories, I can;)

I am a big wuss, I used to play Resident Evil:Code Veronica at night and I would make my wife lay on the couch so I wasn't by myself or it would really freak me out. Commence to making fun of me now.
