Until you get a period every month, don't complain about the few perks we get.

It's a little bit of a discrimination but hey...you got pockets. If you are going into a store. Either that or claim your backpack is your manpurse. Shouldn't be that big a deal...if it is, call for a manager and point out all the women in the store with their shopping purses. The policy will be changed, I am sure! By the way...you asked this one twice. That's a lot of points!

EDIT: By the way, my wife doesn't carry a purse. She has a little credit card thing she carries in her hand. It has all the stuff she needs when she is shopping.

Back in the day, the things people stole were big. You could fit them in a backpack, but not a purse (ala a computer, laptop, boomboxes, etc.) They haven't updated, and if a store ever banned purses they would lose a HUGE portion of their clientele. It's just less expensive to let somebody steal an Ipod or something like that than deal with that loss of women (in general's) money.

At some grocery stores in Houston, those huge purses are also banned.
I had to go to the Thrift Store to get a small purse, because all of mine are either nap-sack size or larger. If you use those clear backpacks, they don't fuss as bad.
Do you know how much gets ripped off at stores, if you've ever worked in security, you can probably understand.

Women carry purses so men can put all their junk in them. My suggestion is, get a girlfriend and go shopping with her. That eliminates the need for a backpack.

Purses are allowed because women keep,
things for their children,
their wallets,
their feminine products,
their life in there. And most of the time, women's purses aren't that big.

No, but then, I don't even carry a wallet in public (or to the mall) unless I >know< I'm going to buy something.

My advice, get a "man bag" instead of a backpack...then if shopkeep's give you any crap, yell discrimination.

because it would be very difficult to keep a woman from her purse, never try to take it way from her, she won't like it

if your so upset, just get really big pockets with your pants and stuff everything in there....or get a man-purse
